Hello, I’m Kathy! I am a Christian mom to two beautiful girls and a wife to my wonderful husband of 17 years.
By day I work as a voice instructor at two local colleges. When I’m not teaching I’m spending time with my family, cooking in my kitchen, putting my nose in a book, solving a sudoku puzzle or re-arranging our furniture.

Healthy SINGING I have been singing since…well…. forever! I have been studying voice for 26 years and teaching it for over 17. My experiences as voice teacher, coach, choir director, music director for shows and teaching vocal pedagogy shape my multi-faceted approach. I am passionate about sharing the benefits of vocal warm-ups and giving vocal tips to keep your singing voice healthy! Join me every Wednesday for a new warm-up or vocal tip!
Healthy GUT My journey to digestive health began five years ago when I was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). More recently, I was diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome. Needless to say, I’ve been through A LOT since that first diagnosis and learned so much about gut health along the way. For the last year + I have been eating on the SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet). Changing my diet has been THE most challenging thing I have ever done! But you know what? It can me be done! My prayer is to help and encourage you in your struggles to change your diet and heal your gut so you can live a healthy life! You can find my Healthy Gut posts here.
Healthy MIND I was diagnosed with depression when I was a junior in college. It is a difficult subject for me to talk about. Despite that, I feel the Lord calling me to share my story and help you find a place where your mental status is not judged or looked down upon. kathywurster.com is a safe haven for you to find encouragement to get through your day, to find the right treatment and ultimately know that you are loved. Another aspect of a Healthy Mind is Self-Acceptance. We are constantly bombarded with images of what we should be wearing, doing, eating, buying, living.
