After sharing 6 weeks of my SCD Weekly Meal Plan, I thought we could take a break and offer up a few weeks of yummy desserts. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet doesn’t allow for sugar, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a delicious treat now and again. I’ve found 5 delicious sweets for you to try out this week. Enjoy!
PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIES by The Tao of Dana
First up, the peanut butter brownie. The title alone has my mouth watering! With only 4 ingredients, you could have these made quickly. Note: The recipe suggests putting in the fridge for 2 hours before cutting, but as baker – you could easily sneak a spoonful when no one’s looking. 😉
RASPBERRY COCONUT PANNA COTTA by Healing Family Eats
On to something fruity-liscious! This recipe has 5 ingredients! Careful now, you might break a sweat. 🙂 The recipe calls for raspberries, but you could easily substitute any berry of your choice.
PALEO CINNAMON ROLL by Paleo Cupboard
We’ve had some really quick desserts – this one not-so-much. Don’t scroll down just yet! There is a bit of rolling the dough, but it is TOTALLY worth the gooey rolls. Perfect for a weekend breakfast or a special afternoon treat.
BERRY WATERMELON PIZZA by Nurture My Gut
It’s so simple I don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Isn’t that what you are thinking too? This is the PERFECT dessert for those hot summer days when you don’t want to turn on the oven. Ester suggests adding chocolate sauce at the end, but I think it tastes just as sweet without it and chocolate is not SCD legal.
BEST APPLE CRISP by Wellness and Workouts
I saved the best for last. This recipe is so simple and sooo delicious! With unsweetened shredded coconut and coconut flour you might be surprised how much you like this new-take on an traditional recipe. This will be your new go-to recipe for a healthy, grain-free apple crisp. Are you drooling yet?
What are you baking this week? When you try a recipe, share in the comments your thoughts and a picture too! Blessings on your week!
